Dominate The Game With The Elder Scrolls Online Leveling Guide by Killer Guides

elder scrolls online leveling guideThe Elder Scrolls is one of the most revered franchises in RPG history. As soon as Bethesda announced that they were going to release an online chapter, I knew it was going to be huge. I had no idea. This game is set in a gigantic world that can be very intimidating, especially for an intermediate player like myself who wasn’t always sure of how to progress. I decided to buy The Elder Scrolls Online Leveling Guide by Killer Guides, hoping it would make my gameplay more efficient and enjoyable, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

With this guide on my side, playing became a breeze. It’s written in a straightforward, easy to follow manner that’s useful to both beginners and seasoned veterans. I was able to build a character that suits my style of play perfectly, whether it’s aggressive, defensive or balanced, warrior or mage, Nightblade or Dragonknight. These builds made getting into the game faster and easier, and it ensured tons of replay value. There is an extensive list in the guide of PvE and PvP builds; builds that work best for single combat and others that work better for teams, and even builds that work well against certain types of enemies.

Once you’re out in Tamriel, there would be no more time spent wandering the countryside, wondering where to go next, as the guide outlines where to go to find the quests that will maximize your reward for the time you put in. In addition to complete walkthroughs for every zone, quest, and dungeon, the guide showed me which locations are the best for grinding and how to do it once I got there. Not only does this got me more experience, gold, and better gear, but it sets me up to knock down the next quest that much more quickly. There is even a section that demonstrates skill rotations for each type of build. These had me carving through enemies like butter with a little bit of practice. No more getting stuck on tough bosses, either. Between the walkthroughs and skill rotations, I got into every tough fight prepared.

This guide answered every question I had about how to progress in ESO. It also answered some questions I didn’t even knew I had. For instance, all the crafting recipes for the most powerful weapons and armor sets are contained within, so I knew right away which ingredients to look for. In addition, there is a complete breakdown of the crafting system, including how to improve your existing equipment. This insured that no matter what level I was at, I had the tools I needed to create killer gear for any character build.

The guide doesn’t stop there. Once I hit level 50, there was a wealth of additional items and locations that were unlocked, and they are all listed here, complete with walkthoughs and shortcuts. Any MMORPG endgame is essentially a race to get the best gear and ESO is no exception. With this guide, I was able to get my hands on it quickly and painlessly.

Overall, this guide is well worth the cost. It provides what I feel is a necessary supplement to get the most out of your ESO experience. It’s available in PDF format and is written by professional gamers. Killer Guides also allows you to download any future updates of the guide for free as they become available. The layout is intuitive and easy to understand. I would recommend this manual to gamers of any age or skill level.

The biggest event in The Elder Scrolls is the launch of this astoundingly broad MMROPG. Previous games focused on specific regions such as High Rock, Cyrodil, or Skryim; this game allows the user to range freely across the continent of Tamriel. That is, at least, the final goal of the creators, and newcomers to the game want to know how skills such as Lockpicking differ from Skyrim and Oblivion.

The previous two Elder Scrolls games featured a mini game, where random luck is balanced out with user skill. The Elder Scrolls Online allows for a mini game more similar to the one featured in Oblivion, and Lockpicking is influenced primarily by leveling the character. Previously, lockpicking was a skill so that a specialist could open a master lock at a lower level.

Understanding How to Lockpick While Questing in Elder Scrolls Online

Lockpicking in The Elder Scrolls online is not a class skill but an ability available to all players. The stealth class in this installment is the Nightblade, but this class receives no bonuses to Lockpicking. Locks feature on chests only, and doors are opened by quests or keys. Lockpicking in this game is competitive, meaning that the attempt must be completed in real time while rivals might be attempting to kill you.

Several players can attempt the same chest but not at the same time. A player is afforded a time limit, wherein they must successfully depress five pins to open the lock. If they cannot succeed within the time limit, they are locked out of the chest for a minimum of ten seconds, during which other players can try their luck. If another player successfully loots the chest, then those items are permanently removed. If all contents are looted, then the chest will disappear.

It is possible to interrupt a lock picking attempt by killing the other player, although this is reserved for members of rival factions. Whenever another player is picking open a chest, it is impossible to attempt until the other player loses his or her time limit. The total number of attempts available is dictated by lock picks carried and competition by other players.

Locks are set in four difficult modes from Simple to Master. Tumblers are not more tricky at higher difficult levels; the time limit is just shorter. This makes for somewhat redundant game play, although the risk of being killed while trying to open a valuable chest is a unique dimension that no previous Elder Scrolls game has offered.

Elder Scrolls Online (ESO): A Beta Primer

The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most hotly anticipated online games for 2014, and is based on the game universe where the critically acclaimed Elder Scrolls action fantasy titles take place. It will be the first massively multiplayer online rpg for the popular franchise.

This week, The Elder Scrolls Online is going to have another beta weekend. We’ve assembled a helpful primer for gamers looking to give this gorgeous-looking, blood-drenched MMO a go.

There’s also a dispute currently going on between Bethesda and Microsoft over whether Elder Scrolls Online will require a gold subscription to be played on Xbox Live.

What is the gist of the story?
Elder Scrolls Online takes place in the increasingly war-torn continent of Tamriel, where hordes of ghouls and vengeful spirits stalk the populace. Meanwhile, three alliances and four elder scrolls online classes are engage in a ruthless battle for control of the Imperial City which has been overrun by the malevolent forces from the otherworldly realm of Oblivion. At the center of this turmoil is Molag Bal, the Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement, who is masterminding the merge of Oblivion and Nirn, the world in which Elder Scrolls Online and other Elder Scrolls game takes place.

What are its defining features as an MMORPG?
Player vs. player gameplay will be at the heart of Elder Scrolls Online. It will support a three-alliance war system, which developers said will support some of the largest PvP battles seen in a major online rpg. The most vicious pvp fighter will become the emperor. Each player will be able to support one of three alliances vying for control of Cyrodiil, the central province where the Imperial City lies and home to the throne of Tamriel.

The game can support hundreds of players fighting simultaneously onscreen for their respective alliance army. PvP objectives will include seizing and defending strongholds to secure their valuable resources across a vast open world setting. Siege weapons can be used to weaken enemy fortresses and conquer strongholds. Controlling enough territory in Cyrodiil is just the means to the ultimate end: Capturing the Imperial City. The victorious alliance will gain glory and rewards, with the top player even having the chance to be crowned Emperor of the land. This creates healthy competition within each elder scrolls online alliance as well, since the Emperor will gain special combat abilities and make him or her a menacing leader in the battlefield.

ESO will also offer a healthy amount of PvE content and exploration which could help players to leveling their eso characters also, according to developers. Most of the Tamriel continent will be playable eventually, with new areas unlocked with new expansions.

As readers of this site will want to know, the currency of Elder Scrolls will be ‘gold’ – commonly referred to as ‘Elder Scrolls Online Gold’ or ‘ESO Gold’ for short.

What is the difference between the three alliances?
There are three alliances locked in total conflict. Each alliance hails from a different part of the Tamriel continent, and will each offer three distinct playable races. Their agendas also wildly differ despite sharing the singular goal of overtaking the Imperial City.

The Aldmeri Dominion hails from the southern provinces of Valenwood, Elsweyr and Summerset Isles. Playable races will include Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit. Their animal emblem is the bird of prey. They seek to suppress what they see as the growing influence of humankind and instead restore the majestic rule of the Elves.

The Daggerfall Covenant is composed of the northwestern provinces of High rock and Hammerfell. Playable races will include Bretons, Redguards and Orcs. Their animal emblem is the lion. This alliance seeks to restore the peace and prosperity similar to that seen during the days of the Second Empire.

Lastly, the Ebonheart Pact has united the previously warring northern and eastern provinces of Skyrim, Morrowind and Black Marsh. Playable races will include Dunmer, Nords and Argonians. Their animal emblem is the dragon. These sworn enemies have put aside their differences for the meanwhile to restore stability to the land and ensure their independence from any ruling influence.

What’s the currency used in Elder Scrolls Online?
Unlike real-world counter-samples, all three factions are perfectly happy to share the same currency – Elder Scrolls Online gold – which conveniently works since gold as sole means of reimbursement doesn’t require a central bank. It does make the buying of more ordinary, less valued things – like a liter of milk a tad awkward though. Luckily the economy in ESO guide will solely consist of valuable, ability-enhancing weaponry and armory as well as raw materials – avoiding the need for smaller denominations (silver? copper? salt wheels?).

The Elder Scrolls Online Guides to Become the Emperor

Do you have a minute? Then check out this manual I found that has the FASTEST leveling tactics. This guide is the main reason why I was the first in my guild to reach level 50. You can read more of my review of the guide here.

The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most interesting MMORPG in 2014. Main quest of the game is to explore the land of tamrial, fight classic monsters, and faction war over Cyrodiil’s Imperial City. So, players in the Elder Scrolls Online are given the opportunity to select their factions: Daggerfall Covenant, Ebonheart Pact or Aldmeri Dominion. Plus, the Elder Scrolls Online has the special reward for the Cyrodill’s War hero which is the chance to become an Emperor.

Emperor position is considered a dream come true for every PvP player because of its unique powerful skill set. Although the skill line is predicted to become less effective after being usurped, the Emperor skill tree marks as players’ permanent upgrade because they can retain it even if they will be dethroned. There are bonuses available to players other than the skill line including increased powers that allow for more damage and access the distinctive armor set. These bonuses are imperative for each of the Emperor’s keep.

Interested to become an Emperor? This would not be an easy task, of course, but it can be attainable if determination to outshine in the competition is in the heart and mind of the player. This can best achieved by getting the most points of alliance. Alliance points are earned through heal allies, capture keeps or kill enemies. It is recommended to perform these combination in order to get the most alliance points and become the Emperor.

As an emperor, the player should be on the top of the rank of his ESO alliance or faction. This only suggests that that he must be at the top of the leaderboard, which requires effort and more time to spend in Cyrodiil fighting with the other players to complete the objectives and complete the quests. Therefore, to become a top player of the game and be an Emperor, a player should be part of a huge community, play in groups, participate in collecting keeps and master the abilities of the characters.

Yes, becoming an ESO Emperor is challenging, but it is worth a reward

TESO Quests Explanation

Quests are discoverable using the mini map, where an icon will appear when you are near a quest-giving NPC or object. NPCs worth talking to will glow a slight yellow, indicating that they offer a quest or advance an objective. A compass will help direct players towards nearby towns, dungeons, and places of interest. This feature is intended to preserve the feeling of a traditional single-player Elder Scrolls experience. The compass is one of many UI elements however, that may be disabled if the player prefers not to use it. While the player is out moving around the world or on a mission, the game is designed to reward exploration with small events or challenges which are hidden off the beaten path. Additionally, exploration will lead to discovery of additional quests, loot, and possibly, achievements throughout the world.

In other Elder Scrolls games, exploration is one of the most alluring factors to bring people into that game. ESO combat’s always fun, and there are 4 classes to play including the templar. The story is usually pretty good, but just having the opportunity to explore an open world is one of the most awe-inspiring features of Bethesda Games. They really seem like they trying to captivate that in The Elder Scrolls Online. I just hope that they are successful.

The crafting system in ESO is discovery-based, but otherwise, it’s similar to that of Skyrim. The crafting skills available at launch will be Provisioner, Weaponsmith, Armorer, Alchemist, and Enchanter. Crafting is performed at special stations within the world. Blacksmithing uses an anvil and forge, alchemy requires an alchemist lab, enchanting uses an enchanter’s table, and provisioning will be done at a cook fire or kitchen.

The Importance of Crafting Guides in the Elder Scrolls Online

In The Elder Scrolls Online, they want to preserve a high degree of interactivity within the world, so crafting, hunting, and gathering resources will be an important feature in the game’s economics system. The ability to use and interact with objects throughout the world is an important way to connect the game to the Elder’s Scroll IP, because in every other Elder Scrolls game, you can interact with nearly every object. They want players to be able to loot crates, barrels, and chests, and also harvest resources throughout the world. Crafting materials will drop off enemy creatures and their exact function must be determined throughout experimentation. Each crafting component will have 4 different effects, depending on how it is used. Certain valuable crafting ingredients will only be attainable from within the AvA-enabled regions of Cyrodiil, so the PvP regions.

During crafting, a primary component and a secondary component are combined, plus up to 3 optional additive components, which can be added to change the product created. The quality of each additive can be increased to produce an even more powerful effect. Basically, you have your 2 main materials and 3 materials to make the product better. If those extra materials are of higher quality, you will get a higher-quality product. As you are crafting, you will earn crafting points which you can distribute between the 5 crafting skills. You can use these points to become a Jack of All Trades and be competent, but not exceptional in all 5 skills. Or you can choose to focus and master 2 of these skills completely.

Crafting will play an important role in optimization of the player’s equipment. Items that drop within the world can be augmented and upgraded by a player crafter; making the economic and the material importance of crafting relevant even at the endgame. Crafters will be able to make some of the most powerful items in the game, but there will be a system in place to prevent the mass production of legendary-quality items.

Elder Scrolls Online Guide to Combats

There are many similarities and there are many differences in The Elder Scrolls Online compared to the previous games in the series. If that sounds suspicious, perhaps a turnoff for you hardcore Elder Scrolls fans, know that since its alpha version, ZeneMax has been inviting hardcore Elder Scrolls fans like yourselves to test the game and they have praised highly how similar the Elder Scrolls Online feels to Skyrim in controls and combat. It will also be wise to remember at this point that Elder Scrolls Online will also have mounts just like in Skyrim. Before I get into the big differences, let’s refresh what we know and what is similar about the Elder Scrolls Online’s combat system. I’ll be using Skyrim as a demonstration point.

Elder Scrolls Online Guide to Combats

As you have probably experienced for yourself, the Elder Scrolls combat system involves using the WASD keys for movement and your mouse for aiming and attacking. There is no auto-attack. Your weapon attacks by clicking the left mouse button and you can block by holding the right mouse button. Physical attacks and blocking consume stamina and magicka for spells. A quick click of the left mouse will perform a light attack and holding will perform a heavy attack. Unlike in Skyrim, there is no extra resource cost with heavy attacks in the Elder Scrolls Online.

To achieve a successful attack or block with your ESO weapon, you must be facing your target and have the aim cursor in the middle, relatively close to your target. Failing to do so will result in you missing completely. This applies to all weapons, including projectile attacks, like spells and arrows. One of the differences in the Elder Scrolls Online is how projectiles work. Instead of straightforward unguided attacks, your projectiles will have a slight lock-on and will seek your target even if your target should move. If your target moves a little to the left or right, the arrow for example will follow. It’s not a perfect lock-on though. Your enemy, especially if they dodge, will most certainly be able to avoid your attacks.

By double-tapping a movement key, your character can perform a dodge maneuver which will consume some stamina but will allow you to avoid incoming attacks. There exists a second targeting system similar to Tab-targeting. It’s not a full lock-on either, and will still require you to aim your attacks carefully. The Tab-targeting simply exists to help you to specify which enemy out of a crowd of enemies is your focus. It does not lock-on your camera and you will still have full control to attack other targets.

Switching Weapons and Spells in Elder Scrolls Online

One of my personal favorite additions to the Elder Scrolls Online Guides is the ability to swap weapon sets in battle. You can wield a 2-handed hammer one second and a sword-and-shield the next. By switching weapons, you will also be able to swap your action bar abilities.

With each weapon set, you can select 6 abilities for your action bar. This doesn’t mean you only have 6 abilities in the game to use, there are many more. It just means you can only select 6 abilities per weapon sets. Combine this with the ability to swap weapon sets, and you have potentially 12 different abilities you can use in battle. Out of combat in ESO, you can swap out abilities from your action bar for other abilities you have available with your character.

SWITCHING WEAPONS AND SPELLS IN ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE

A convenient change in the Elder Scrolls Online is that unlike in Skyrim, spells do not have to be equipped to your hands. They can be used simultaneously with weapon attacks from your action bar. These abilities have no cooldown, but cost either stamina or magicka to activate. As just mentioned, there are 6 abilities you can equip in a set. Five standard abilities, and the sixth is an Ultimate ability. Every class has multiple Ultimate abilities they can unlock, but you may only utilize one at a time. In combat, Ultimate abilities are useable after the player accumulates sufficient Finesse, a type of resource that builds through successful performance. Bonus Finesse is awarded for ‘playing smart’; for example interrupting an enemies’ spell cast or blocking a dangerous attack.

7 Kinds Of Skills in ESO

There are 7 confirmed varieties of skilled lines within the game: Class, weapon, armor, racial, world, guild, and alliance versus alliance. Yes, that’s right; there will be race-specific traits. The Dark Elf, for example, can spend a skill point and increase its racial trait that only Dark Elves have. These skill lines allows your character to develop more into that specialization however you like. Some skill lines, such as your class, have multiple sub-skill lines to explore. Unique quest-based skill lines, like vampirism are also present. Players may choose 6 abilities, including one ESO Ultimate ability, to actively use at any given time. These class abilities and weapons can be changed on-the-fly and reflect the player’s current loadout that can be adapted to various situations. Skill selection is another way which players can differentiate themselves from others of their class. Through continued use of your abilities, you’re eventually given the chance to morph your ability into a new form which may simply strengthen it or change it into something completely different, like a single-target spell into an area of effect.

7 KINDS OF SKILLS IN ESO

Constellations and birth signs are incorporated into The Elder Scrolls Online in the form of Moon Disc Stones which function similarly to the guardian stones and Skyrim, allowing the player to choose a buff associated with particular constellation. Some Moon Disc Stones also unlock an additional ability for players to have them active.

These are the basics of classes and character development in The Elder Scrolls Online. There are some classic RPG aspects, of course, but certainly, The Elder Scrolls flavor is strong here. Most MORPG’s are strict about your character’s evolution, and out of the choices, there is usually some must-play build that almost everyone uses. I’m personally very excited about The Elder Scrolls Online and its make-your-own-class approach. While The Elder Scrolls Online has suggested skill lines, I think most players, myself included, will have a lot more fun experimenting with different builds and weapons, and mixing a lot of interesting combinations together.
